Scholarships Available from Area 9!

Area 9 is proud to announce the availability of scholarships to attend Summit 2014 and National Seminar. The Kristopher Jon Anthony Memorial Scholarship is available for National Seminar. The Marvin E. Reecher Memorial Scholarship and the Mary Kay Parrish Scholarship help cover the cost of attending the Area 9 Summit.

Advertise in Ringing News

We are now accepting advertising for our Area 9 eNewsletter.

Ad Rates with supplied artwork:

Small: $10 per issue or $54 for 6 issues or $94 for 11 issues (150 pixels wide x 300 pixel high)
Large: $18 per issue or $97 for 6 issues or $168 for 11 issues (150 pixels wide x 600 pixel high)

If we need to prepare artwork, we will quote additional fee based upon the work required.

When an ad request is received, an electronic invoice (PDF) will be sent. Newsletters will typically be sent out once a month. If more than one is sent in a month, there will not be any additional charges.

Deadlines:
10th of the month for emailing in 4th week of month.
5 days prior to end of month for emailing in the 2nd week of the month.

Greetings from Area 9!

In the midst of all the dramatic weather that has been happening around the US, it is time to start looking forward to spring and all the fabulous ringing opportunities that are available to feed your handbell habit. Central Texas Spring Ring is right around the corner in Austin, TX and Summit 2014 in Ardmore, OK will be here before you know it. We hope you will consider attending one or both of these events.

Registration & Class Schedule for Summit 2014 is Now Available!

We hope you will consider attending. There will plenty of opportunities to ring and learn about handbells. Some of the offerings include Duet & Trio Ringing, Mallets & Stopped Sounds, Musiciality in the Musicially Challenged, Heavy Metal aka Bass Bells, 4-in-hand, Bell Trees, Battery Techniques, Choosing Music for Worship, Move & Groove with Tim Waugh, All Ring Sessions, Reading Sessions, Massed Ringing and Summit All-Stars.

Bring the family!
Classes for family members are scheduled for Saturday afternoon, followed by a special family dinner and activities on Saturday night. Spend Father's Day with Area 9! The Ardmore, Oklahoma area also has lots of family friendly activities. The Arbuckle Wilderness, Turner Falls, Lake Murray and the Chickasaw Cultural Center are just some of the options available.

Early Bird registration (postmarked by 04-30-14) is $195 per person. Regular registration is $210 per person. Are you only able to attend one day? Daily registration is $100 per person.

Members of the Handbell Industry Council will also be on-site for your shopping convenience.
