AGAPE 1st ANNUAL GUNS OR ROSES SPORTING SHOOT
Friday, October 20th - 9:30 AM-1PM
Mission160 - 6040 TX-160, Whiteright, TX
Enjoy the great outdoors, some good ‘ole Texas BBQ, shooting contests and raffle of really cool stuff. Gather a few tips on how we can work together to raise awareness about domestic violence as a primary cause of homelessness for women and children and easy ways to expand awareness of nonviolent alternatives to domestic disputes.
The event will start at 9:30am with breakfast and a safety briefing. You will then have the opportunity to shoot with many different guns and even compete in contests against other guests!
Possible list of guns (subject to change):
At the end of the event we will be holding a raffle. You may buy as many raffle tickets as you please, but you must specify which item you would like each of your raffle tickets to go towards. Raffle items include:
**You do not have to be present to win the raffle.**
Since Mission160 will be providing this experience, there is no need to bring your own guns or ammo. However, we ask that you do bring your own eye and ear protection.
A signed waiver is needed to participate in this event. You can print your copy from the link provided at the bottom of the registration page. Please print, sign and present your copy at the event registration table.

So you might be asking, “Why is Agape, a transformational program for homeless women and children, hosting a shooting event?"
Good question. In fact, we hope everyone asks it. The question opens an opportunity for dialogue about tough topics: domestic violence and sex trafficking.
For example, the question provides an opportunity to respond with….
Conflict is inevitable.
We all have a choice on how to deal with it.
Violence is a choice.
Guns are at the extreme end of that choice.
We don’t want conflict to reach that point.
Conversation is the better choice… And maybe roses.
