- 61% of Arkansas public school students qualify for free or reduced-price school lunches.

- 96% of children in Arkansas have health coverage, largely due to the ARKids First program.

- Low-income Arkansans pay about twice the rate in state and local taxes compared to the top 1% of earners.

- Over 5,000 children in Arkansas are in the foster care system.

- Black and Hispanic children are almost twice as likely to live in lower-income families as their white peers.
