Description

Bats are fascinating animals, and important members of our ecosystems, but some of them face a new threat. A disease called "white-nose syndrome" has caused die-offs of many hibernating bats in Pennsylvania and throughout the East. What is being done to combat this problem? Collin Shephard, Forest Ecologist with the Allegheny National Forest, is responsible for coordinating many aspects of wildlife, botany, air, water, soil, and other programs in the Forest, but she has taken a particular interest in bats. She will share her expertise with us in an entertaining and informative program. This program is free.
