NEW Pilot Program in the works!

Equine Assisted Learning for Individuals on the Autism Spectrum is a pilot program to help teens and young adults (age 11 - 22) with autism spectrum disorders build their self-esteem and give them the tools to overcome bullying at their school and places of employment. The program will meet once a week for 8-weeks on a Thursday evening.

The Five Main Objectives: 1. build self-esteem and confidence; 2. develop self-awareness, self-control, and appropriate boundaries; 3. provide companionship, partnership, unconditional love, and acceptance; 4. offer good physical exercise outdoors, improving balance and coordination; 5. teach responsibility, empathy, and a sense of caring for others.

Brochures will be available mid-February.  Please email:  autismsociety@nwpaasa.org or call (814) 455-3540 if you would like a brochure or more information on the pilot program
