Parent's Night Out

  • Need an evening without the youngsters to get holiday shopping done?
  • Would like an evening out with your spouse/significant other?
  • What about an evening out with friends to celebrate the upcoming holidays?

Here is your opportunity!  Autism Society NWPA in partnership with the Achievement Center is offering a PARENT'S NIGHT OUT.  Your youngsters will be cared for by trained, qualifed individuals so you may enjoy a stress free evening.   ** Please use the WEST SIDE employee entrance of the Achievement Center. Wegmans side of the Achievement Center building. **

COST:   $5.00 per child (families - neurotypical siblings are welcome!) pre-payment required.  Limited space - sign up today!

Auto Racers for Kid's LEGO SOCIAL CLUB

The Lego Social is an effective way for children and teens with social difficulties associated with an autism spectrum disorder to improve their social interactions and communication skills. The club is designed for grades K - 8 and meets the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  Donation of $3.00 per session is requested.

TIME:   9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
LOCATION:  Autism Society NWPA
1062 Brown Avenue - Erie, PA 16502 (Corner of Brown & Raspberry)

A parent waiting room is provided with coffee to give parents an opportunity to mingle and share.

Maximum capacity is 40 participants; once capacity is reached a wait list will be started

Sensory-Friendly Opportunities at the Erie Playhouse

The stars shine bright over the Erie Playhouse, one of the oldest and largest community theatres in the nation. Recognized as one of the 10 best community theatres in national competition, it remains at the forefront of the arts not only in Northwest Pennsylvania, but the entire state.  Sensory-friendly includes light and sounds at a safe and comfortable level for all guests.  A sensory break area will be provided in the lower level.  Sensory-friendly plays:  Elf (12/14/2014); Sleeping Beauty (01/24/2015); Peter Pan Jr (05/16/2015).  For more information and times please visit the Erie Playhouse website at:  erieplayhouse.org
