Thank you for your interest in joining Team AWEsome 2016! Team AWEsome is an incredible group of first time to professional runners who commit to raising funds to support AWE in exchange for entrance and participation in the 2016 Baltimore Running Festival!

How does it work?

STEP 1: Complete the registration form at https://www.z2systems.com/np/clients/awe/eventRegistration.jsp?event=16

STEP 2: Set up a social fundraising page and engage friends, family, co-workers, etc in financially supporting your running goal and asylum seekers in Baltimore

STEP 3: Get ready to run on Saturday, October 15th!

What are the benefits?

In addition to know that you are supporting asylum-seekers in the Baltimore area, all Team AWEsome members will receive:

• Team AWEsome 2016 t-shirt
• Pre-race dinner on Friday, October 14th
• Social Fundraising Page
• Entrance into the race of your choice

What are the fundraising requirements?

• Full Marathon =$300
• Half Marathon = $300
• Relay=$250 (per person)
• 5K= $250

What is AWE and how will the funds be used?

Every year thousands of men, women and children seeking asylum find themselves in the Baltimore area, with no place to go and no community to support them. Asylum seekers have fled their home countries due to persecution or even torture. Asylee Women Enterprise (AWE) provides housing, community support, English classes, medical and legal referrals, job readiness and education. The asylum process is a very long and lonely journey; AWE is a safe and nurturing place to call home while asylum seekers rebuild their lives. By joining Team AWEsome, you will help ensure our ability to continue to meet the most basic needs for shelter, food and a sense of belonging for asylum seekers.
