Session Description

This session will delve into concrete steps that a nonprofit can take today to create a permeating “culture of risk awareness.” Beginning with the technical aspects of risk transfer—insurance and policy review—we will highlight the red flags that could put your organization at risk. We will then cover some basic “duty of care” priorities that every nonprofit should integrate into its operations. You will leave armed with great resources that will help in your dealings with the board, staff, volunteers, and events as well as some ideas for collaboration.
