About this Session: Individual giving is a fundamental component of virtually all nonprofit fundraising plans, with an emphasis on Annual Fund-level donors. This workshop will equip attendees with the skills and knowledge necessary to plan and create appeals targeting renewal and new individual donors at the low- to mid-level gift range. Specifically, we will explore planning your annual solicitation calendar, developing solicitation mechanisms and completing donor stewardship.
Who Should Participate: Fundraising professionals who have between 6 months to 3 years of individual giving experience
About the Presenter: Sidney Freitag-Fey, M.A. serves as Associate Director of Development at Heartland Alliance as well as Adjunct Faculty at Loyola University Chicago where he teaches a course in grantwriting and fundraising. His ten-year long fundraising career began as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Mongolia, where he raised funds and resources to create a comprehensive resource room and multiple health campaigns for the rural school he taught at. Sid has worked in annual fund and major donor relations, board relations, corporate sponsorship and grants management.
