About this Session: Every organization has its own unique systems in place, some of which are constantly changing. But, from where should these processes originate? This session provides tools that will align and cascade the strategic objectives from the highest level of any organization to every staff member. Through the use of an effective strategic planning tool and a decision rights model tool, your organization can build the capacity to ensure that every individual knows both strategically and operationally exactly what they should be doing every day when they clock in for work.

Who Should Participate: Executive directors and individuals responsible for training staff

Pamela Mitchell-BoydAbout the Presenter: Pamela Mitchell-Boyd, AM, is a Senior Consultant, Organizational Effectiveness for Presence Health. Pamela began her career as a clinical social worker, committed to supporting socially vulnerable populations through various counseling positions at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 1999, she joined the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) as senior advisor for the executive offices where she spearheaded special projects in human resources, facilities management, operations and asset management. In order to improve the communications between the construction division and the executive office, in 2006, she was promoted to director of construction administration for CHA to provide oversight over the rehabilitation activities for the agency’s planned 17,000 units under the CHA’s Plan for Transformation. Later, in her role as executive vice president for the Board of Commissioners at CHA, Pamela was not only responsible for communications and liaison activity between the staff and the board, she was also instrumental in the creation and implementation of the agency’s strategic plan, that was collaboratively devised from the CHA executive staff and the Board of Commissioners.
Currently, as organizational effectiveness consultant at Presence Health, Pamela facilitates both strategic and organizational change at a senior leadership level, including c-suite support. She is responsible for implementing organizational transformation projects and initiatives across the health care enterprise, and is also responsible for assisting in the development and execution of succession planning, retreat planning and facilitation, and organizational design. Pamela earned her undergraduate degree in human development and social policy from the School of Education at Northwestern University, and a Master’s degree in social service administration from the University of Chicago.
