Welcome to Bead Challenge 2017, a three-month Beads of Courage campaign to help children and teens coping with serious illness record, tell and own their stories of courage.

It's easy to get started as a fundraiser, financial donor, or bead artist.  Help us achieve our goals of $100,000 raised and 25,000 glass beads donated by September 30.  Together, let's make Courage Roar for courageous kids!

Sign up to participate as a Bead Challenge FUNDRAISER. You will receive a custom fundraising page to share with your family, friends and co-workers.  Tell your story, add your pics, and let everyone know why Beads of Courage matters to you.  As part of our Bead Challenge social fundraising team, you will be eligible for some great incentive prizes and will help your state compete to be named the Most Inspired State for Bead Challenge 2017!

► TO PARTICIPATE AS A FUNDRAISER:  Scroll down to the list of states and click on your state.  On your state's home page, click on the JOIN TEAM button to create your custom fundraising page.  You will also be added to our Bead Challenge email list, where we will share fundraising tips, incentive prizes and more to keep you encouraged throughout Bead Challenge.  Don't worry, you are not in this alone!  Set your fundraising goal and challenge yourself to reach it by September 30, 2017.   

Become a Bead Challenge DONOR.  Your generous financial contribution helps sustain the 150 Beads of Courage Programs we have established in children’s hospitals throughout the United States. We are counting on your help so that children and teens can receive innovative arts-in-medicine program support during their treatment for a life-threatening illness.  Every donation during Bead Challenge 2017 counts toward your state’s totals to see which state is the "Most Inspired State."  

► TO PARTICIPATE AS A DONOR (any of these options will work):

1)  Click on the DONATE button in the upper right corner of this page.

2)  Scroll down to the "Search Fundraisers" bar, type in your state’s abbreviation (Arizona = AZ, California = CA, etc.), then click on the DONATE button for your state. 

3)  Scroll down to the "Search Fundraisers" bar, type in the name of an individual fundraiser you wish to support, then DONATE on their fundraising page.   

Glass bead artists!  We need you to CREATE and donate beads to help us reach our goal of 25,000 beads donated during Bead Challenge. Throughout the year, we give these one-of-a-kind creations to children to add to their Beads of Courage collection, honoring treatment milestones and special Acts of Courage.  You will be eligible for some great incentives with every bead you donate, and will help your state compete to be Most Inspired State for Bead Challenge 2017.  We also invite you to set up a custom fundraising page and share your passion for the Beads of Courage mission!
