Residential Summer Camp

Have you ever wondered how sharks hear sound, migrate across the ocean, or find prey? Unlock these mysteries as we explore the science behind the largest fishes in the sea! From understanding the importance of this top predator's role in balancing the ocean's ecosystem, to learning about conservation efforts to save endangered sharks, you'll meet shark researchers who are discovering answers to these questions. Your week will be filled with studying the science of sharks, sighting whales and other wildlife from out on the Monterey Bay, and yes, surfing! Campers must be able to swim.

Activities: whale watching, surfing, boogie boarding, sand crab surveys, visit to Moss Landing Marine Lab

Registration limited to 30 campers
Staff to camper ratio is at least 1:6
