Description

This paddle will be an out and back and we will launch from the Brunswick County Nature Park.   This is a really historically important creek and one of the first areas settled in our region.  Traditionally rice was grown along these tributaries.  It is also the largest tribuatary of the Cape Fear area! This is an easier paddle although we will be against the curent during the first part of the padddle. Hope you can join us!

Paddlers can meet at the Brunswick County Nature Park at 8:30am.  There are walking trails and shelters if you would like to bring a picnic lunch.  Get a map to the location here!

CFRW has a limited number of kayaks and canoes available for our current members to use for a $15 donation. These boats are available on a first come/first served basis. We provide all equipment and transport the boats for you. If you want to reserve a boat you must contact KayLynn at kaylynn@cfrw.us or 762-5606.

All paddlers should wear a PFD, however those paddlers using CFRW boats are required to wear a PFD.  Other items to remember include sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, water, snack and water shoes if you would like to explore the beaches where oyster shells are present.

If you would like to join or renew before the paddle, you can click here to join online or call Jen Cole at 910-762-5606.
