Third graders were visited by Peterborough Camera Shop photographer, Mr. Gyakyi Bonsu-Anane, on March 5th. The third grade has started a four week photojournalism project thanks to a CLiF (Children’s Literacy Foundation) mini-grant.
Students will engage in writing about their photography in order to tell a story or create a poem. The third grade students are very excited to explore this new way of expression.
An exhibit and ice cream social will be held at 6:00 pm. on Thursday, April 19th at Peterborough Elementary School for families and the public to attend. Each child will have a photograph they took and a writing inspired by that photo on display. CLiF presenter, Marty Kelly, an author and illustrator, will end the evening with his stories that will ensure laughter for all!
