Writers Workshop: Ludlow, VT

Cartoonist Marek Bennett will spend three days with the Ludlow second-sixth graders students learning about and writing comics. He will work with small groups within classrooms to help students produce their own comic. 

Marek’s plan:

• 45 minutes for the opening assembly on the first morning is great. 
• Normally I meet w/ each class once per day for three sessions total.  That gives up an INTRO, IN-DEPTH, & WRAP-UP sequence (adjusted for a grade-level appropriate approach). 
  • The closing assembly will be a good time to read some student work & sum up our experience.  30-45 minutes is fine.
