To celebrate the fact that more than 80% of parents and children signed the Read To Me contract pledging to read together twice a week for at least 20 minutes, all students will write and perform poems with Rajnii Eddins.
His first performance is 1 to 1:35 p.m. with the K-2
The second performance is 1:40 to 2:15 p.m. with the Grades 3-5.
He's going to do some call and response songs with both groups as they get settled and enjoy some ice cream. Then he's going to do some poetry (Langston Hughes, Maya Angelou and Shel Silverstein) and write an ice cream poem with the group, too.
