The art teacher has “author/artist Nick Neddo work with third graders for four hours in March, which total four art classes, using the book The First Drawing. Nick Neddo is an artist and author of the book The Organic Artist, which is actually being released today! He uses materials directly from nature to make drawing and painting supplies such as inks, paints, natural crayons, brushes, charcoals. We are still in the planning stages with Nick in terms of what material the kids will create, but they will create materials and use them in their own "first drawings". The workshop will open with Mordicai Gernstein's The First Drawing. Neddo will visit on March 19th and March 24th from 9-11am.
