Volunteers Needed

Volunteers needed for drumming workshops in parks this summer – starting now! High school age or adults. See below for dates and times. Enroll to volunteer by contacting gregory.dubay@portlandoregon.gov 3 days or more in advance of event.

CMC staff will be going into the parks this summer to provide free, interactive music activities to children through the Summer Playgrounds program. We need volunteers to help move instruments and equipment from CMC to each park site. The summer Playgrounds program provides free lunches to neighborhood children, plus, arts, crafts and games, too.

Details:

There are two shifts: Load-in (am), and Load-back (pm); it is possible for one person to do both shifts.

1. Load-in: 9:45 am to 10:15 am - loading up a car with light-weight instruments and equipment at CMC

2. Activity assistance: 10:45 am to 2:15 pm - be a part of the activities, and help with set-up and take-down* (this job only available in conjunction with load-in or load-back)

1. Load-back: 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm - Unload the car at CMC and moving the equipment back into the building

Dates

Must provide own transportation. Individuals who have not recently completed a background check would be required to do so.
