Meet Our New Teachers

Bryson Fisher has experise in saxophone, hip-hop, and music production. He tours with his group Sumalienz and helps various non-profits in the area set up hip-hop showcases and workshops, and has a degree in special education. Bryson taught the summer camps for CMC at the Center Powered by YOUth.
Kara Lane is a bassoonist teaching woodwind lessons and music theory classes at CMC. Kara earned a Master of Music degree in Bassoon Performance at the University of Oregon. They also received a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from West Texas A&M. Kara holds an All-Level teaching certification, and has years of experience teaching private lessons, masterclasses, and contributing to many public school music programs.
Erica Liebert is a violinist with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance degree from Lewis & Clark College, additional teacher training in the Suzuki method, and graduate coursework in Violin Performance at Portland State University. She teaches individual and group classes at CMC and is an active performer in Portland.
Geoffrey Mosley performed in international piano competitions as a young person before serving our country in the United States Navy. He earned a Master of Music degree from Portland State University and has twenty years overall teaching experience in piano, violin and cello.
Geoff is teaching piano for CMC/PP&R at the Center Powered by Y.O.U.th as part of an ongoing partnership program (see more about Y.O.U.TH).
Irina Myachkin is a recording artist musician on vocals, piano, and guitar. She earned her equivalent Masters of Teaching degree in Kazakhstan. At CMC Irina is teaching early-childhood music classes, piano group lessons, general musicianship, and a new World Song Book class for age 60+ starting in Winter term.
Natasha von Bartheld received a Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University including violin and viola pedagogy and Body Mapping. In addition to teaching group and private violin lessons at CMC she is giving private lessons in East Portland to Alice Ott Middle School music students through their Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN School) program in collaboration with PP&R.
