A Message from the Director
ON BEHALF OF THE NON-PROFIT CMC INC.*

Dear Music Education Supporters -

If you live in Oregon, I hope you consider giving to our Annual Fund Drive. We have some impressive statistics at CMC:

  • more than 1,000 participants in music classes and lessons per week over 10,000 teaching hours each year by over 50 performing artist instructors
  • over 13,000 attendees at free & low-cost concerts annually
  • almost $70,000 in need-based scholarships given last year

What we are most proud of, though, are the positive ways we affect the lives of families and individual students in our community. The following excerpt from a recent letter illustrates one example:

"Private lessons and orchestra [at CMC] have consistently provided two positive, safe highlights to my niece’s week! Please accept my thanks for appropriately boosting my niece’s self-esteem during her challenging teenage years. I feel privileged to provide financial support to this exceptional civic institution!"

The youth in our community long to play and sing music, to succeed in positive and uplifting pursuits, and to make a difference. Your gift to CMC allows them these opportunities.

Donations of any amount to CMC Inc. are welcome and appreciated. Please see our Annual Fund Drive page for ways to give.  We are grateful to all our contributors, including those who have already given this year.

Thank you for your support, and see you at CMC!

Sincerely,

- Gregory Dubay, Director
