The Herbert A. Templeton Foundation recently awarded $17,500 to CMC Inc. for need-based scholarships to youth studying music in the 2013-14 fiscal year.  This is the second highest award CMC Inc has received from the Templeton Foundation; a competitive grant of $20,000 last year was the highest to date.

CMC Inc., the non-profit partner at the Community Music Center, depends on contributions from businesses, foundations, and from the general public.  This support is used to help the organization provide over $70,000 per year in need-based scholarships to music students at the Center and in Portland Parks & Recreation.
