Summary

Explore your connection with nature through journaling. For ages 14+.

Description

For ages 14+ (adults, too)

Nature journaling is a historic practice employed by many naturalists—such as John James Audubon, Rachel Carson, and Aldo Leopold. In this series of workshops we will discover how various types of nature journals can expand our personal knowledge of Connecticut ecology and help create meaningful interactions with the world around us. Participants will learn basic drawing techniques from an artist (no drawing experience necessary). Naturalists will provide environmental education and bookbinding to enhance journals as the season progresses.

The 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month; 2-4 pm; pre-registration required.
