Minnesota native and current radio personality Georgia Ellyse suffered the loss and accidental death of her infant daughter, Amana, in 2007. Georgia was 19 and headed into her sophomore year of college. The Foxie 105FM - WFXE Morning Show co-host found solace at Faith’s Lodge, a special place in Danbury that provides a place of retreat and hope to grief stricken families.
February 21, 2015, marks Amana's eigth (8th) birthday and the continuation of The Amana Family Scholarship Award . “I don’t know how I would have made it through that period of life had it not been for my experience at Faith’s Lodge.” Said Georgia. “It helped me to cope in ways I cannot explain, so I want to send families there to share the experience I had.”
The goal of this memorial fund is to raise awareness of Faith’s Lodge and to provide exposure and access to families who would not otherwise be able to get there. Your gift is a gift of hope to a greiving parent!
