Staying the Course

There is a major health epidemic currently occuring in our population.  As we all are witnessing, technology is advancing at a rapid pace, and thanks to that technology, most people are spending far too much of their time in physically damaging positions. The negative effects are causing higher rates of subluxations. Therefore the need for subluxation based Chiropractors is higher than ever before.

The story of the first chiropractic adjustment on Harvey Lillard depicts a subluxation that was caused by a spine injury. Our current population however does not require a trauma in order to become subluxated. General usage of technology alone is enough to cause life long health related issues. As we are seeing in our offices, the damages are not limited to only the adults; kids are suffering too. As subluxations occur at earlier ages, the quality of life of the entire population decreases. The solution to helping our patients and communities adapt to these new technological advancements is regular chiropractic care. The Chiropractor is a staple of the community as they remove the damaging subluxations and help our citizens function better. We as leaders need to stay the course as the largest wave of subluxated people comes our way.

The GCC is proud to be developing a future where Subluxation and its damaging effects are understood by the population. People should be as knowledgeable about this as they are of what cavities do to their teeth. Our current work toward massive public awareness is through a CORVETTE RAFFLE to generate the funds to educate the population about subluxations and how chiropractors are the only doctors with the training and ability to correct them. In September, we will hold Subluxation Awareness Month, a time of increased focus, for the GCC and our members, on spreading the word of the detrimental effects of Subluxations. Subluxation Awareness Months is highlighted by a meeting with Georgia Governor, Nathan Deal, who delivers a proclamation declaring September to be Subluxation Awareness Month in Georgia. And of course we are always conscientious of our many events around the state and bringing to the stage instructors and mentors who teach you how to properly analyze and correct subluxations. Every man, woman and child  should be under regular care. Our goal is to make that not just a cliché, but a reality.

To all those who are supporting the GCC's efforts, Thank You.  We promise to stay the course from this generation to the next.

The results are in and it was a very close race. Dr. Karen Mathiak's campaign to represent District 73 in the Georgia House of Representatives continues with a runoff on July 26.  You need her to represent chiropractic at the state capitol, and she needs you to help her continue the campaign.
