President's Message...
GCC...Here to Serve You
So, now that the new year is in full swing, I hope your practice and life are thriving. January is a great time for growth as many people are searching again for answers to their health problems. Obviously, we are a huge part of that answer for most, and our job is to let them know, so they can get to our offices and we can deliver life-changing adjustments!
If you or your office are not where you want to be and you're not sure how to get there... LET THE GCC HELP!!! We are committed to each and every member's success, not only in practice...but in LIFE. As the banner at DE has said for over 50 years...NOTHING IS BIGGER THAN LIFE. It’s so true. We only have one shot at life so we might as well make it amazing. If you need help, let us help.
We have our year of Saturday Night Live events set and they are going to be amazing! We will add them to the Major Premise emails as each gets near. We're bringing speakers like Drs. Jeremy Hess, Lyle Koca, Janice Hughes, Cheryl Langley, Nicole Lindsey, Eddie Diaz, Wade Port, Dean Fuller...to name a few. Not only will they be delivering the message of ChiropracTIC, but at some events, we will even have them teach the Nuts & Bolts of a successful practice. Our first one is this Saturday, February 3rd, with Dr. Jeremy Hess and Dr. Janice Hughes at Life University, room C 125 at 7 pm. Please make plans to attend and “bring a friend.”
We are also continuing our hugely successful CE Express Tour. This year it is titled... Passion for Principle: 2018 TIC Tour. Our first stop is in beautiful, historic downtown Savannah! If you’ve never been there or need a good weekend trip, plan to attend. We’ll have Drs. John Davila, Drew Henderson, Steve Ranicki, Daniel Tew, Tim Langley, Neil Cohen and Melissa Massa sharing gems of information for you and your staff.
I also love to recognize great accomplishments of our members. If you or a friend has had an accomplishment you feel we should publicize please send it to our amazing Executive Director, Katrine Frazier at info@georgiachiropractic.org. This time I would like to give a big shout out to Dr. Dan Tew, our Vice President, and Dr. Frank Marcone, our Secretary, on their event regarding neurodevelopment issues in kids. They flew in Dr. Steve Tullius to present his groundbreaking work on this topic. Look for a full report in the next Major Premise!
Lastly, I’d like to remind you of some really easy resources to stay plugged in and keep your head in the game. Every Tuesday night there is a Principled Conference call with a different speaker each week jamming on the reason we do what we do. It is at 9 pm and no one even needs to know you are on the line. GCC at the 2018 GA Legislature Wild Hog Supper
 Brad Pizza, DC - GCC Legislative Committee Co-chair: A tradition started years ago, and an annual event that Georgia politicos look forward to year after year, the Wild Hog Supper is hosted by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. It truly marks the beginning of the Georgia legislative session and is always held on the Sunday before the Monday of the opening day. It is an event the Georgia Council of Chiropractic has attended for the last 20 years and serves as a great opportunity to meet and greet with many of our legislative friends.
This year under the leadership of our newly elected president, Dr. Brian Lieberman, we had the opportunity to speak with Representative Michelle Henson who sat with us at our table for dinner. She has been a great friend of the GCC for many years. It is always a pleasure to hear firsthand what is coming up in the halls of the capitol. We also heard Governor Nathan Deal’s address and had an opportunity to meet with Secretary of State, Brian Kemp.
 Along with Dr. Lieberman and myself, Dr. Norm Colby, Dr. Cathy Wendland Colby, Dr. Francisco Fuster, Rachel Lieberman, and Sandy Pizza were in attendance. Life student, Joe Abretski, also joined us to see firsthand how politics works in Georgia.
Wild Hog Supper is an important political event because we get to voice our concerns in a one on one setting, which is very important before the legislative session commences.
Please plan to be with us next year if you have the opportunity. It’s a wonderful time filled with good fun and fellowship.
