Who: Any youth, family, elder, veteran, partner and/or alumni of the GRuB Community
Cost: Suggested donation at the event of $5/person or $10/family. Free to people identifying as Black, ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery)
or Indigenous, People of color.
No one turned away for lack of funds!
Come join GRuB's Growing Home Collective to celebrate Juneteenth, the day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved Black people in 1865 in the United States. This event centers the experience of Black and ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) identified individuals, families and people of all ages. We will acknowledge the true history of Black people's experience during a time of great challenge and erasure that is still impacting our communities today. We will celebrate and uplift Black wisdom, community, healing, food knowledge and culture on the land. Juneteenth is American history! We especially welcome Black and ADOS youth, veterans and alumni of GRuB's programs. Family friendly and open to people of all backgrounds.

The Collective serves Black people of all ages and emphasizes wellness, cultural food knowledge, and ancestral wisdom in the kitchen and on the land. The program includes ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) members, Black immigrants, the Black diaspora, and Black people who are of mixed racial/ethnic backgrounds.
Parking Details:
GRuB is located in West Olympia on the corner of Bing Ct. and Elliott Ave NW. Our address is 2016 Elliott Ave NW Olympia WA 98502. The site is accessible by bus on the Intercity transit bus #41. The bus stop is on the corner of Elliott and Division streets.
Coming from the westside, go north on Harrison Ave and go about 1.5 miles until you see the Green GRuB location sign. Take a right on Elliott Ave (If you go left you'll end up on 20th). Make the next left on Bing Court and feel free to park on either side of the street and not past the blue sign that says No parking beyond this point. There is overflow parking in our east lot further down Elliott Ave. Head to the front or back porches and enter the building. Coming from the East lot, follow the path by the fence, head over the creek bridge and up the stairs to the double doors at the deck.| Neon CRM by Neon One |
