GreenFaith, with US EPA’s ENERGY STAR for Congregations Office, is pleased to offer a free three-part webinar series - Energy Stewardship for Religious Facilities. The series will take place on October 10th, 17th and 24th from 8:30-9:30 pm ET. It’s open to leaders, members and managers of religious institutions across the country. Your community is welcome to participate in 1, 2 or all 3 webinars.
A link to webinar recordings will be provided to all who register, so please register even if you can’t join us for all three webinars – we’ll send you the recording afterwards.
Why should you participate?
Most religious institutions can reduce their energy use and costs substantially, but don’t know what steps to take or how to measure their progress. This webinar series will teach you the best practices that have saved religious facilities thousands of dollars. The webinars cover a range of topics, including:
October 10th, 8:30 pm ET: An introduction to the 3-part webinar series, guidance for governing bodies of religious institutions, and information about best practices for temperature control and space usage.
October 17th, 8:30 pm ET: A review of best practices for lighting, appliances, weather-stripping and insulation. It will also include success stories of institutions that have significantly cut their usage and bills.
October 24th, 8:30 pm ET: An introduction to the highly successful Portfolio Manager tool – ENERGY STAR’s system for benchmarking your facility’s energy use and monitoring your progress.
We hope you’ll join us. Register today.
