Our Youth Theater is back this summer after another four-week summer program for children ages 8-12. A fun morning filled with theatre games, activities, and music, children will learn the inner workings of the theatre world through producing, rehearsing, and performing a full-scale musical production. During the program children will participate in team-building exercises, fun improv, and acting games, while learning how to build an ensemble, boost confidence, and produce/perform in a musical. This student-driven show ensures every member has a role and the opportunity to help make their own sets/props/costumes. The final product- a culmination of the weeks of rehearsals, exercises, and summer fun- will be a performance of Peter Pan to showcase all of the material learned and contrived. Directed by the returning Virginia May Edinger (How To Eat Like a Child, Alice in Wonderland, and Really Rosie!) with musical direction by Richard Cherry, this show is a don't-miss-it-opportunity that young and old will remember for years to come.
