From the West Coast of Canada, Jocelyn Pettit is a vibrant fiddler, stepdancer, and singer. First inspired by the driving energy and beauty of Cape Breton, Irish, and Scottish fiddle, and drawn to further explore the musical culture of Quebec, Brittany (France), and Galicia (Spain), Jocelyn has embraced these Canadian and Celtic traditions, and delivers the music with spirited style.

With grace and passion, Jocelyn Pettit has ignited stages across Canada, in the U.S., the U.K., Europe, and Asia, with lively music and dance;  performed on national Canadian television and radio;  and earned multiple award nominations, including two at the Canadian Folk Music Awards.  Jocelyn has also performed at the 2010 Olympic Victory Medal Ceremony in Vancouver, Canada;  shared the stage with Scottish legends, The Battlefield Band; and performed with Irish supergroup, The Chieftains.

With accompaniment provided by multi-instrumentalist Greg Anderson, of The Eileen Ivers Band (guitar);  her mother, Siew Wan Khoo (piano, fiddle);  and her father, Joel Pettit (bodhran, cajon), the band fuses Canadian and European folk traditions to create a style they call Blazing New-Trad Celtic.

“An incredible fiddle player, who blew away the audience with her expertise.”
