ART LANDE (piano, percussion):

Grammy-nominated Art Lande is an internationally known pianist, composer, improviser, drummer and educator who has performed with a long list of the Who's Who in jazz, including Joe Henderson, Woody Shaw, Bobby Hutcherson, Steve Swallow, Charlie Haden, Kenny Wheeler, Sheila Jordan, Mark Isham, Paul McCandless, Jan Garbarek and many others. His band, Rubisa Patrol, was formed in the mid 70's and worked through 1983, traveling to Europe often and recording with ECM Records. After teaching for three years in Switzerland, Lande moved to Boulder, Colorado, where he played a weekly performance for 15 years! Each week had different music and drew from a large list of different bands, members and seasonal special guests from nearly everywhere. Live performances are not to be missed, an occasion full of musical adventure and inspiration, spontaneity, warmth and soul.

BRUCE WILLIAMSON (woodwinds):
Bruce Williamson has lived in New York since 1983 and has performed over the years with jazz artists such as Toshiko Akiyoshi , Dave Douglas, Benny Green, Tom Harell, Fred Hersch, Mark Isham, Art Lande, Mark Levine, Jack McDuff, Dave Stryker, Gary Peacock and Jack Walrath. He can be heard on 50+ recordings and over the last two decades has worked with composer Elliot Goldenthal and director Julie Taymor on many of their theatre and film projects (including “Across The Universe” the Academy award-winning “Frida”).  As a jazz composer he has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts for his jazz septet (Timeless CD “Big City Magic” featuring trumpeter Randy Brecker) and an extended piece for string quartet, sax quartet plus percussion (featuring soprano saxist Tim Ries and percussionist Satoshi Takeishi). Bruce is on the music faculty at Bennington College, Vermont.
