Modular Origami Ornaments

Cost: $40 / $36 members plus $10 materials fee

Learn the art of modular origami folding in this introductory class for teens and adults.   We will make folded units and assemble them into large and small expanding stars, rings,wreaths, and other intricate shapes.  In the process of making these stunning holiday ornaments, you will also learn about origami terminology, folds, and papers so that you will be ready to continue exploring on your own.  Recommended for adults and teens, although youngsters 10 -12 are also welcome to attend with an adult assisting.
 

Debby Jaffe recently retired from teaching science at Shaker Junior High, where she started a crane-making craze among her students.  She now farms full time with her family at Long Days Farm in South Cambridge.  When the ground is frozen, she spends her time reading seed catalogs, knitting, and doing modular origami.
