Annual Membership Meeting & NEW Risers Tour!

Description

***Important News for Our Member Meeting on October 5th***

Just a reminder that all Members are invited and encouraged to attend the meeting at 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 5th, starting at the bread oven with delicious free pizza, and concluding with a celebratory and informative Member meeting in the Hall on the new risers.  We have revised our bylaws to be better aligned with how Hubbard Hall functions.  David Snider, Executive Director of Hubbard Hall, highly recommends that all Members review this document before the meeting: "As part of our Member meeting on October 5th, we will review some revised bylaws for the organization.  As you may know, bylaws guide how the organization, its board of trustees and staff operate.  So it's very important that Members review and be ready to ask any questions about these changes.  You can read the revisions here.  I hope many Members can join us on the 5th - it's going to be a fun celebration of everything we've accomplished already this year!"

A private donor offered us $10K for new risers -

but only if we could raise another $10K to match!

Then together, as a community,

 WE DID IT!

We did it! We have met the goal of raising the funds for new stage risers at Hubbard Hall. We’ve needed this improvement to our technical capability for years and now you’ve helped make it a reality! Our beautiful new risers were delivered this past Wednesday and will be installed in the Hall in September. In the course of about six weeks we raised over $10,000 to meet the match and complete the purchase – all thanks to you.

To celebrate, please join us on
Sunday, October 5th at 1:00 p.m. for our Annual Membership Meeting when we will reveal the risers for the very first time, discuss some of the other exciting developments for this year and gain your feedback as members on how we can do even better.  Our new Executive Director, David Snider, will speak about the year to come and may even unveil a few more surprises about the upcoming season!  Mark it on your calendars now – it’s going to be a fun afternoon!

But wait – I didn’t donate and I meant to do so – can I still give to the Riser Campaign?
Yes!  While these risers will provide seating for about 90 easily, for a while we will still need to supplement with other seating options to hit our usual 130 or so seats.  But with the system we purchased, we can purchase and augment our risers for years to come.  So donations are still being accepted, in the hopes that we can soon get all of our seats supported.
What we needed:

In order to keep the magic happening in the Hall, we needed a new riser system that would allow us to change the space over more easily and quickly, giving us greater capacity to use the space and cutting down on the hours it takes to do so. The new, more flexible system will give artists, audiences and community members easier access and use of the Hall for many years to come.
