Film Forum Screening: Breaker Morant

David DeVries will be hosting a FREE SCREENING of Breaker Morant:

Bruce Beresford's Breaker Morant starring Edward Woodward and Barry Brown is one of the greatest anti-war films in the history of cinema. Set in the Boer War of 1902, the film is the story of three Australians put on trial for shooting prisoners. Although they were acting under orders, they now become pawns in the British government's attempt to separate themselves from the action. The film is structured around the trial as the men fight for their lives in this powerful drama. Breaker Morant won many awards and is one of the finest films to come out of Australia during the 1980's Golden Age of Australian movie making.
