The Cumberland Valley District Health Department is accepting applications for a Full Time Technical Consultant to function as Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Field Representative for 34 counties.

General Duties include: Travels to 34 counties to conduct site visits to ensure the health department staff is following federal & state guidelines of the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program. Interprets and explains regulations, rules, and policies related to the WIC program. Provide technical assistance to local health departments to ensure compliance to WIC program policies and guidelines. Works directly with KY State WIC office. Extensive travel and overnight stays required.

Minimum Education, Training or Experience: Associate degree in Public Health, Community Health, Business or Public Administration or Health related field and two (2) years of Public/Community health or professional coordination/management experience in a health related organization.

Substitution for Education, Training or Experience: Bachelor’s in Health related or Business Administration field may substitute for one (1) year required experience. Master’s Degree in Health related or Business Administration field may substitute for the two (2) years of experience.

Special Requirements: Must have a driver’s license.

Starting Salary: $16.89 - $21.42/hr negotiable with additional experience. Grade 20
