Quality Improvement/Performance Management Coordinator

Position Description

Responsible for leading the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s quality improvement and performance management efforts.

· Provide trainings on quality improvement and performance management for local health departments throughout Kentucky. (30%)

· Establishes performance monitoring processes to assure quality. Works with staff to develop and apply models and assessment tools to determine root causes of issues, develops solutions, and establish performance goals. (20%)

· Develops, maintains, and updates the KDPH quality improvement plan based on applicable regulations, standards and guidelines. (15%)

· Assists in identifying and executing quality and process improvement projects within all divisions and department. (15%)

· Works with division directors, managers, supervisors, and staff to develop and implement key performance indicators and establish a KDPH performance management system based on best practices. (10%)

· Participate in training and continuing education on quality improvement and performance management. (5%)

· Other duties as assigned. (5%)

This position will be active in coordinating activities within DPH and collaborating with local health departments.
