140. Mobile Sculpture with Metal and Wood with Lloyd Hughes

Work with a master metalsmith and sculptor to create your own moving sculptures! Mobiles are a unique artform. The ease with which they move has captured our attention since Alexander Calder first popularized them in the 1930's. If you have ever wondered how they are made, then this is the class for you. Using aluminum,  wood and other materials, participants will learn how to balance everything to create their own hanging mobiles. All materials will be provided, but, if you have something you would like to use, bring it along and we'll give it a try.
