This interdisciplinary class involves the beauty, biology, ecology, and cultural traditions related to migrating monarch butterflies, which travel thousands of miles each year. We will fold artistic origami models of the butterflies, learn about unique habitats and host plants, participate in an international data-gathering project, and more.  The class will collaborate to build a work of art to show many monarchs on their migration flyway.
