20. Introduction to Observational Astronomy with Dan Price

Join us to learn the basics of observational astronomy! We'll discuss different telescopes, objects visible through a modest telescope, how to locate objects in the night sky, and foundational astronomy. Enjoy a show in Lexington's only planetarium and hands-on time with a 'scope while here in the city.  We'll also have an observing session (Saturday, June 10th, 9pm-11pm) at Josephine Sculpture Park (Frankfort, KY) where you can put your new skills to the test under darker skies.  This session is exclusively for registered students and students must provide their own transportation.  Telescopes will be provided.
