Autumn Darkroom: Saturday Print & Process
Description
As the only Community Darkroom in Charlotte, we are proud to continue to teach the fine art of B&W Photography. Independent study class designed to allow more time in the darkroom for students who have already begun to fall in love with the B&W printing process. Students will be introduced to a variety of advanced printing techniques, including layering negatives and creating your own negatives, reverse contact printing, split filtering, painting with chemistry, selenium toning & mastering fiber based printing. Students will also be encouraged to truly pursue their own creative vision and personal photographic voice, which may be discovered in the process of photographing or within the process of printing-- this is the beauty of continuing to explore the craft and science of the darkroom! John Dearing and Jane Wiley will also be sharing their style and unique craft to this class by sharing Lumen Printing, Chlorophyll Printing, Cyanotypes and more! The final prints will be installed for a local "pop-up" exhibition. **Classes may be taken as a 6 week session or a $60 drop in fee.** |
