Introduction to Digital Photography This class has multiple sessions. Register using the links below. **Please note there is a 2% processing fee generated by our ticketing system. Overwhelmed by all the manual settings and buttons on your camera? We can help. You can master aperture, shutter speed, exposure, metering, electronic flash, and white balance for color corrections and creative effects. We will introduce you to basic compositional principles that will push your images to the next level, making them more professional and interesting. This class is hands-on and includes in-class critiques and extended shooting assignments in Center City Charlotte. You should bring a digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera (with manual controls), the manual for the camera and we’ll supply the rest. Class size is limited to 12 students.

Intermediate Photoshop Continue your creative journey with in-depth projects and comprehensive lessons to assist you with completing your personal vision in digital photography. Students will learn more technically advanced tools within Photoshop to enhance or digitally alter their photographs for print and final presentation. Pre-requisite: Intro to Photoshop **Students must bring their own laptops downloaded with Photoshop CS5 or CS6. Free 30-day trial versions are available online from Adobe**

DSLR Crash Course

A fast paced three hour workshop. Join us at the Light Factory for a fun and informative crash course to help you improve your photography! We'll have a 45 minute lecture and discuss how lighting, composition, and lens choice affects your image, as well as a hands on session that will demystify f/stops, shutter speed and ISO. We’ll share some tips and tricks on how to implement these concepts, and we'll go out with a shot list to get our creative juices flowing for a Photo Safari on funky Central Avenue. Small groups with experienced photographers maximize your learning experience. Get ready to have a great time while learning how to take better pictures - whether your interests lie in better travel photos, family fun, or lean to the artsy side, this is a class that will inspire you to do more than point and shoot.
