In Her Own Words
Lotus Outreach and the Cambodian Women’s Crisis Center (CWCC) have been supporting me since 2004 when I was in 7th grade until I graduated high school in 2010. Lotus Outreach accepted me into the GATE scholarship program because my family is very poor and couldn’t afford to send me to lower secondary school after primary school. Being in the scholarship program, I had received study materials, school uniform, and some money for things like meals and extra classes in chemistry and physics.
Nowadays I am studying bachelor's degree at University of Mean Chey, majoring in Korean Language and Social Studies. I have only reached this point due to support from the GATE and GATEways scholarship program. As a poor student receiving your support, I would like to wish you good health, happiness and success in your life and hope that you will be able to get more support to help other poor girls like me.
