Red Light Movement
Description
Please Join Lotus Outreach and the Red Light Movement on April 26th in San Diego’s Balboa Park
There are an estimated 27 million people in slavery today—far exceeding the number of those enslaved at the height of the transatlantic slave trade. This year, Lotus Outreach will host a booth at the Red Light Movement’s second annual walk and information fair to spread awareness about human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
The Red Light Movement exists to raise awareness of and encourage action against the global slave trade. Through education, mobilization, and networking, the movement aims to rally individuals to join a modern day abolitionist movement—starting in San Diego. Last year, over 300 abolitionists participated in the rally and walk to symbolize the movement toward global change.
