Maryland State Forensic Nurse Examiner Training - Adult/Adolescent

General Information: This 40-hour training, with curriculum approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing, has been specifically designed for Registered Nurses (RNs) interested in becoming Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNEs) specializing in Adult/Adolescent patients aged 13 and up. Those who wish to practice as FNEs in Maryland must be RNs with at least 18 months experience and attend the entire seminar to be eligible for Maryland certification. FNE-A Certification requires an additional 40-hour clinical component beyond this 40-hour classroom training. Location: Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD

Dates: Monday, March 18, 2013 through Friday, March 22, 2013

Time: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM each day

Costs: $350 for Maryland State residents; $450 for out-of-state residents. Fees include all textbooks.
 

Additional Information: The last day to register for this training is March 11, 2013. If you register and need to cancel, the last day to do so and receive a full refund is March 13, 2013.

This training is coordinated by the Maryland Coalition Against Sexual Assault (MCASA) with funding from the Maryland Governor's Office of Crime Control and Prevention (GOCCP), and will be presented by expert instructors who meet Board of Nursing RN-FNE Educator requirements. The training is hosted by Mercy Medical Center. A light lunch will be provided each day.
