Membership Level Descriptions

NOTE: ONLY Active, Corporate, and Corporate Sponsor Members

are listed in the public Membership Directory

Active Member:

Any professional interpreter and/or translator. (Individual Membership)

1-year: $125

3-year: $330 **SAVE $45**

Household Membership = $215 **SAVE $45**

(Available for two individuals residing at the same address)

Associate ($105):

Any person who shares NAJIT’s interests while working in a different field such as law enforcement, the judiciary or academia. (i.e. An individual who is not compensated/remunerated for translation and/or interpreting.)

Student ($60):

Any person enrolled in a full‐time interpreting or translation degree program at a recognized institution. (Certificate programs do not qualify for student membership)

Corporate ($250):

Any for‐profit business entity with an interest in interpreting and/or translation. In such cases, membership shall be in the name of the corporation, not in the name of its billing contact or any single employee of the corporation.

Corporate Sponsor ($500):

Organizational ($250):

An Organizational Member shall be any public or private educational institution, governmental entity, library, or nonprofit corporation with an interest in judiciary interpreting and/or translation. In such cases, membership shall be in the name of the organization, not in the name of its billing contact or any of its associates.

Refund Policy: Membership purchases can be canceled within 48 hours of purchase by written notice to hq@najit.org. A cancellation fee of 20 percent will apply to all eligible cancellations. After 48 hours, all membership purchases are final.

Returned Checks: A $12.00 fee will be assessed for all returned checks.

*Membership Directory: We only list your name, city, state, zip, email, and phone number. We do not share your street address.

Information entered here will be displayed in the searchable NAJIT Member Directory on the NAJIT home page (For Active, Corporate & Corporate Sponsor Members only). You are encouraged to add additional credential details to your directory profile once your NAJIT membership is active. Your NAJIT membership is active upon successful payment of your NAJIT membership dues. Instructions to update your directory profile can be found on the Members FAQ page.

**NAJIT does not display your street address in the directory**

Directory Policies:

Individual members may list a maximum of five languages in their directory profile.
Only Corporate and Corporate Sponsor members are eligible to indicate "ALL LANGUAGES" in their directory profile.
