Description

Get dirty, have fun and be prepared to be amazed by what you uncover in our Little Diggers program. Each session has its own unique farm-based theme to develop curiosity, and foster a deeper connection with the natural world. Daily activities include: digging, planting, weeding; harvesting produce for scrumptious snacks, and setting up and managing a farm stand. Plant, bring home, and care for your choice of seed. It’s the perfect recipe for summer fun. In the full day version of our Little Diggers program, mornings are described as above while our afternoons will be spent with local chefs, artists and writers as they share their craft founded in nature and celebrating the beauty and bounty of the farm. Children are to bring lunch each day, snacks will be provided.

Session 2:  Budding botanists, pull out your hand lens and take an in-depth look at the amazing world of plants. Each day we will study a different part of the plant; conduct experiments to learn about each part’s role, draw in our botany journals before we munch down on tasty examples.
