Young Farmers: Session 1

Could YOU take on the 100 mile challenge and only eat items that were sourced no further than 100 miles away? What would the menu look like? And what would be the environmental benefits of accepting this challenge? Explore some of key issues within our current food system; embrace some of the alternatives all while strengthening your skills and knowledge of sustainable farming through daily field work. Work on projects to beautify the learning garden, care for the chickens and harvest produce. Plan, prepare, cook and share healthy, seasonal dishes based on the 100 mile challenge. Be active, reflect and advocate.
