Farmer in Training: Full Day Session 1

07/24/2017 08:30 AM - 07/28/2017 04:00 PM ET

Description

How are we connected to our natural world and each other? In what ways do these relationships allow us to meet our daily needs? We will identify these connections and explore how critical they are to our day to day living. Craft your own solar oven to harness the suns energy, explore the workings of our greenhouses, and conduct experiments to better understand the impact of different growing conditions on the quality of our food. Come and celebrate what it means to a part of an interconnected community.

In this full day version of our Farmer in Training program delve deeper into farm life. Spend more time in the field planting, weeding and harvesting, play games and cook up some tasty delights in our Barn kitchen. In the afternoons we will welcome local chefs, local artists, or other artisans as we learn new skills and crafts that are founded in nature and celebrate the beauty and bounty of the farm. Bring a lunch each day, snacks provided. Bring a lunch each day, snacks provided.
