Description

Are local foods grown more sustainably than foods we buy at large supermarkets? How does growing food locally impact the fragile ecosystems of Northern Wisconsin? In this talk, a farmer from Hermit Creek Farm will partner with a professor from Northland College to discuss local foods, how they are grown, how they impact the environment, and whether they are worth the higher price.

 An evening including social mingling, speaker, fabulous dinner, cash bar, desserts and coffee; Locally catered, and hosted in the Discovery Center's Main Lodge. $30 ($25 members).
