Canoe Paddle – Manitowish River ~ Highway H&K to Island Lake

This moderately strenuous 5 miles stretch of the Manitowish River is fun for the whole family.  As the river widens and deepens, a natural obstacle course presents itself - there will be downed trees and boulders in the water, providing an opportunity to test your steering and maneuvering skills. This section is quite forested, with high riverbanks and ideal for deer and kingfisher sightings. Further on, the river widens and the surroundings become marshy as we approach Island Lake.  Limited space available, please pre-register by 7/1.  Canoes/PFDs provided. $25 ($20 members); $15 Youth 16 and under.
