Join archaeologists Katie Egan-Bruhy and Mark Bruhy, along with history teachers Jim Bokern and Kay Krans as they share a historical presentation on pre-European contact, American Indians, early logging, railroads, and other stories, all focusing on the Manitowish Waters’ region.  Katie serves as a vice president of Commonwealth Heritage Group, a company providing historic preservation services throughout the U.S. Mark spent 30 years with the USDA Forest Service as the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest archaeologist.  Jim is a retired history teacher and has done extensive research on Ojibwa, fur trade, and 19th century regional histories.  Kay is a retired history teacher and a member of the Manitowish Waters Historical Society. This program is free and open to the public and will be held at the Discovery Center Main Lodge.
